Our Mission:

This mission is guided by the life and words of Jesus and the core of it involves loving God with our whole lives, loving ourselves by believing what God says about us, and loving all others as we have been loved. Our mission is found in the words from Jesus in the book of Matthew:

“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36-40)

To be Rooted is to love God by abiding in Jesus and nurturing our connection to the creator and lover of our souls, while also loving ourselves by believing the truth of what God has done for us and the truth of what he says about us. To be Released is to follow the example of Jesus and love all others in the same ways that we have been loved by God.

Our Core Values:

The mission of Heartlands is further lived out and practiced through our five values that we see Jesus modeling in his life and ministry. We desire for these values to lead us to be continually transformed through Loving God, Loving Ourselves, and Loving Others:

  1. Everyone Worships because God is over all.

  2. Everyone Belongs because everyone is loved.

  3. Everyone Connects because we are better together.

  4. Everyone Serves because everyone has something to offer.

  5. Everyone Equips because everyone is a part of the mission.
